Join Victoria’s original and premier culinary walking tour company! Since 2012, Off The Eaten Track has been creating fun, memorable, and delicious experiences that showcase the best of Victoria’s food scene, history, and local culture.
We are currently hiring outgoing, energetic, and reliable Foodie Tour Guides for the 2026 tourism season. This is the perfect role for someone who loves food, storytelling, hospitality, and meeting people from around the world.
If you are passionate about Victoria’s restaurant scene, enjoy being on your feet, and can confidently lead and entertain small groups — we want to hear from you.
Position Details
- Position Type: Part-Time Seasonal
- Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week
- Compensation: $20/hour + gratuities
- Schedule: Must be available evenings and weekends
- Location: Downtown Victoria, BC
What You’ll Do
- Lead small-group guided culinary walking tours through downtown Victoria
- Share engaging stories about Victoria’s history, culture, architecture, and food scene
- Create a fun, welcoming, and memorable guest experience
- Coordinate seamlessly with restaurant and hospitality partners
- Manage tour timing and group flow throughout the experience
- Assist guests with dietary questions and general tourism recommendations
- Represent the Off The Eaten Track brand with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Help with occasional shop tastings and tour operations support
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable speaking in front of groups
- Passion for food, restaurants, tourism, and local culture
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organized, and able to think on your feet
- Comfortable walking several kilometres during tours
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
- Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, acting, teaching, events, or public speaking is an asset — but not required
- Knowledge of Victoria’s culinary scene is a major bonus
