Our Favorite 2022 Dine Around Menu's Under $40

It’s Dine Around & Stay In Town time again and we’ve been scouring the menu’s to decide where we will visit this year. There are some great options this year but here are our Top 5 Under $40 Dine Around menu’s that we are most excited to try.

$20 Breakfast Menu
What we would order:

  • Pork Sausage Roll with sweet grainy mustard.
  • Savoury Oatmeal: 1 fried egg, braised winter greens, pickled peppers, hazelnut gremolata.
  • Tiramisu: Fernwood coffee espresso & Kalua infused sponge cake, mascarpone cream.

$30 Dinner Menu
What we would order:

  • Tibetan Momos: Hand-rolled and deep fried, served with tomato cilantro achar for dipping.
  • Spinach Paneer Curry: Roasted spicy potato + paneer in a spinach curry sauce. Served with a red lentil daal, jasmine rice, dahi, tomato cilantro achar + mango chutney.
  • Brownie & Berry Trifle: Fresh baked brownie served between layers of whipped cream + fruit coulis.

$30 Dinner Menu

A different style then most Dine Around menus. The style is shared tapas and you must have a minimum of 2 guests to order. There are 8 courses rather then a 3-course plated menu.  Dishes include bacon wrapped dates, roasted carrots, montadito (whipped ricotta on bread), and patatas bravas. Mains include a steelhead trout and braised pork dish with dried cherries and a paprika mashed potatoes. The dessert is a yoghurt panna cotta.

  • Foraged & Farmed Salad: Roasted beets, Haltwhistle fromage fraiche, pumpkin seed & popcorn crumble, black garlic vinaigrette.

  • Chocolate & Caramel Bar: Salted caramel, crème fraiche

What we would order:

  • Cured Dried Mackerel: Dill sour cream with greens and sesame vinaigrette.
  • Raclette: A traditional Swiss melted cheese dish that includes seasoned, roasted potatoes, cured meat, marinated onions, cornichons, bistro salad and other accompaniments.
  • Philosopher’s Brûlée: Infused with Silk Road Philosopher’s Brew tea with highlights of lemongrass and citrus.
