Virtual Beer & Bites Tasting

This option focuses on highlighting BC Craft Beer paired with local dishes. Hosted by an Off The Eaten Track Emcee and a local craft beer expert Joe Wiebe, this is a fun way to taste local beer and learn more about beer pairings.

Cost: $100/per person minimum

Virtual Wine & Food Pairing

Join our virtual wine pairing event led by a local CERTIFIED SOMMELIER and and an Off The Eaten Track Emcee. Guests will be treated to an informative and fun wine pairing with local dishes.

Virtual Chocolate Tasting

Let’s eat some locally made chocolate! Led by a bean-to-bar CHOCOLATE MAKER and co-hosted by an Off The Eaten Track Emcee. Learn more about where chocolate comes from, how it’s made, and how to properly taste to get the full experience of tasting decadent chocolate.

Some information to help you plan your virtual event.
How does a virtual experience work?

It’s easy! Guests are given a delivery window time and the samples are delivered to each guests’s door with no contact necessary. Or guests receive their tasting box via shipping. Guests are given the link via email so that they can log-on to the event. Off The Eaten Track then hosts the experience online and leads the group through the tasting.

How many people can attend a virtual experience?

Depends on the event but it ranges from 4-10 guests minimum. We take a maximum of 40 deliveries per day. More then one person can attend on one computer so the number of attendees is technically unlimited however our delivery capabilites do have a limit. The smaller the group the more intimate the experience.

What if there are dietary concerns, allergies and vegetarians in the group?

No worries, we can absolutely accommodate vegetarians, some allergies and most dietary concerns. As long as we know in advance, we can usually make anything happen!

How does the process work for booking a private experience?
We highly suggest you give us a call so we can chat about what your needs are so we can recommend the appropriate tour (778-918-4584). After that we usually require a 50% deposit to hold the date. That deposit is 100% refundable up to 48 hours before the tour commences. We issue the remaining invoice 24 hours before the tour starts and then you sit back and just enjoy the experience!
What if we don’t know how many guests will be attending?
No worries, we just need a general idea of what the minimum number would be. We can always add or remove as things change. We just need a final number 24 hours before the experience commences for delivery and a longer window for shipping.
What online platform do you use to host the experiences?
We use a few: Zoom is the most common but we can also host using Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. If you have a prefered platform we are open to using what is best for you.
How long are the virtual experiences?
Up to you but we suggest a minimum of 45 minutes. Typically our virual experiences are 1-hour long and typically no longer then 2-hours.
How far do you deliver?
We offer free delivery within the Greater Victoria Region and Saanich Peninsula. We charge a $5 delivery fee for the Westshore Communities (Langford, Colwood & Metchosin). We charge a $10 fee for further communites like Sooke and Shawnigan Lake. Shipping fees will depend on the weight of the tasting box and the shipping address.
Is there alcohol included?
Some of our virtual experiences include alcohol and some do not. We can only ship alcohol within BC.
What is the cost of a virtual experience?
We can work with most budgets when planning a private experience however please note we do list our miminum per person cost for each package. It ranges from $75-$150.
